Overall: This bike shop has a large selection of bikes to choose from, with friendly, laid back, and helpful service...and no sales pressure. I ended up buying my new beach cruiser here and before they handed it to me, it had to go in the back, to get a final blessing from their bike mechanic. That's quality service!
Value: You can find a bike anywhere from just under $200 and into the $600+ range. It just depends on how pimped out you want your ride to be.
Service: Laid back and friendly. The girl behind the counter gave me a neighbor discount after she noticed on my driver's license that we live on the same street. Who does that? My neighbor in OB, who I've never met before, of course!
Quality: Seems like they value quality, as they gave my bike a final inspection before they gave it to me.
Pros : Good selection of bikes, which you can ride up and down the street to try.
Overall: This bike shop is located right on the corner of Felspar (one street north of Garnet) and Mission Blvd in PB. The staff is mostly young guys who are friendly, knowledgeable and courteous.
You can test out the different styles by riding up and down Felspar to get a feel of it. They have a pretty large selection of beach cruisers - I purchased a pink one with black handlebars and a black basket. The guys were very patient as I tested out a few different styles (and didn't laugh at me all that much as I struggled to remember how to ride a bike - that was appreciated as the pedestrians were not as forgiving!).
The guy even threw in a hello kitty bell on the house! :)
Value: Moderately priced - I think it was around $200 for the cruiser, basket and U-lock. They recommended the U-lock since people in PB are constantly getting their bikes stolen from people who cut the rope kind.
Service: Friendly, knowledgeable staff and they're very patient and nice.
Quality: I don't know much about brands of bikes, but they had a large selection and mine stil rides - 2 years later!
