Beverly Realty gave us back $504.75 out of $1275.00 security deposit.

Overcharged landscaping, plumbing repairs and cleaning.

We moved out of a rental in Carson City on May 15, 2010. We had mowed the lawn before leaving the premises, Beverly Realty charged us $175.00 for landscaping and weeding out our deposit. Plumbing repairs they had written off a $65.00 plumbing bill, they deducted that bill from our security deposit and the garage was filthy, supposedly. Exaggerated cleaning charges stating that the property was filthy and. We knew there would be problems with Beverly Realty so we filmed the entire premises on a camera recorder. The lawn had been mowed and it shows on the film, the premises looked very clean. Film is available upon request. Their reputation of not returning deposits to renters is well known throughout Carson City, Dayton and Gardnerville.

I attempted to have this issue resolved with a lady name Liz at 775-782-7143 from Beverly Realty. I mentioned that I wanted to resolve this before going to the Better Business Bureau and she became very agitated and said "don't threathen me" at least 5 times. I gave her my phone number so somebody would call me back, I am still waiting for the call. Awfully defensive don't you think. After thinking about it I am concerned that this is the way they deal with former and current tenants by acting as if they are being threathen with bodily harm. I work for a Law enforcement Agency for almost 6 years and I have never had a criminal or a victim of a crime act in this manner. They scare tenants into submission. Since they acted in such a manner i am submitting a complaint form to the Better Business Bureau (Claim # 11015198).

They have an "F" rating at the Better Business Bureau. I will also check with the Nevada Attorney General's Office if they have any open complaints against them. Also the Board of Realtors. I don't expect to receive any money back so I have already written it off as a loss and a valuable learning experience.
