The Worst Hospital To Ever Exist Off of a Battlefield
The worst Vet experience i've ever had in 20 years of owning animals. do NOT go here under ANY circumstances. I've never felt less sure of a diagnosis, the procedure by which to diagnose, or the doctor's skill. the doctor herself didn't seem sure in any way.
They charged me more for x rays than i've ever paid, human or animal and they're digital x rays that don't even need to be developed. They also make you pay in full same day.
The receptionist didn't seem like she could care any less and mumbled. She avoided eye contact and never smiled even though i was obviously felt worried about my cat. I felt so anxious the whole time i was there (which was 3 hours, one person in front of me picking up a dog, he was only there for maybe 15 min in the lobby).
My cat has also never acted so scared and uncomfortable in any other vet office or anywhere on this earth for that matter , and she's not a kitten. I feel that's because the techs didn't seem to know what they were doing.
The weighing and temperature tech didn't even set the scale to zero first and then really wondered for a moment whether or not the reading of 3 pounds was right for a full grown cat. I picked her up and said it probably needed to be reset. i've also never seen a vet use a rear end thermometer that took so long to register a reading. It seemed like a full minute. That has to be uncomfortable. for all the extra money they tack on compared to others, you'd think they could afford better technology.
Basically i brought my cat in because it had been throwing up, it seems she probably swallowed a rubber band, because parts of one came out. Something that looks exactly like the rest of the dense rubber band she swallowed showed up on my expensive x rays. Now that it's at least mostly out of her system (no thanks to anyone but her) she seems better, but i'm taking her somewhere else that i can trust to follow up. The vet said it was probably metal, but way she barely spoke to me about it and dismissed me seemed like she'd never heard of anything else showing up that well on an x ray except metal. there's nothing in our house in that shape that is metal and it looks like a rubber band. I've seen other animal x rays where rubbery plastics show up really well. She didn't comfort my cat or seem to care that much. She also went ahead and gave me name brand medicine for my kitties mild infection or stomach irritation instead of asking if i wanted generics.
It smelled horrible inside most of the building and the waiting rooms were really uncomfortable, especially for such a long wait. Our pants stuck to the gross old dirty bench paint. If you love your little furry friend, find a good vet to take it to, and research another emergency vet you can take it to ahead of time, just in case. Just NEVER go here.
