crook, liar, and rude
this guy has over charged and underfixed my problems everytime. from ignition switches that he charges dealer prices for and i don't even get the original key(which is standard practice said the dealer after i called him to replace what Ron had replaced twice), to air flow meters that he charges $450 for and i find on e-bay new for $75. even the dealer charges $330 with exchange. put the $75 part in myself and car runs great. why would anyone want to get cheated by this guy?

THEY BURNED MY CAR TO THE GROUND!!!
I brought my BMW here after the timing belt snapped and bent 8 of the 12 valves. After $1,300 worth of repairs I was told my car was good as new. Less than a day after I got it back, it began to backfire. Not knowing what was causing this, or what this meant, I called the shop and spoke to Ron and he told me that it was nothing to worry about and that I could bring it in if I wanted to for them to take a look at. This was on a Friday, I said I would bring it in immediately and he said he wouldn't have time that day, but that the backfiring was nothing to fret over. My car being my only mode of transportation, I thought (based on Ron's lack of lack of concern over the situation) that I could just bring it in on Monday. Sunday night I was driving on the 5 North and someone honked at me and yelled that my tailpipe was on fire. Less than 5 minutes later, my car was engulfed in flames. It was a total loss. The firemen said that unburnt fuel had gotten into the tailpipe and caught fire due to faulty valve work. I notified Ron and he told me to prove it was their fault. Unfortunately I had no comprehensive insurance to cover this, so I lost everything. This shop is dangerous! Their crappy workmanship cost me my beautiful car, the $1,300 I paid Bert's to fix it and nearly cost me my life!!!!
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Service! by Magea M. at InsiderPages
I had some issues that could have been quite costly, had I taken my car into the dealership (obviously) or an unknown mechanic.
Very reasonable costs and high level service. They showed me the old parts what those parts do and how they fixed it. They even went above and beyond and took care of some maintenance issues that I didn't even ask about!

The GREAT reviews ARE true about Bert's Auto
Looked at all the reviews just this morning on Bert's Auto. With all the great reviews I decided to give my Toyota Corolla with very high miles one last try. It normally runs great but has been overheating. When it first started overheating I took it to another mechanic who replaced my fan switch. It took about 3 hours but he told me my car would still overheat and it would cost $1100 at least for more repairs that would take a week. My car is old and the miles are ridiculous so I've been searching online for a new used car regardless. Well, like I said, I decided to give my car one last try at Bert's. I called first. They said they'd look at it. They did even though they are a busy shop, took little time to fix and even showed me the culprit that was causing it to overheat. The cost was extremely fair and beyond reasonable with parts and labor. My car now runs great again (now I can take my time searching for a new used car) I highly recommend this place. They are a no nonsense shop. I'll be back for sure and will recommend to others. Thank you guys!
