The best thing about Bentley's is Tony. I used to live in Brooklyn and I now live on Long Island. I still will only buy shoes from Tony. He is awesome! He will look you up and down and tell you which shoes to wear with which outfit, why the shoes you picked out are too old for you, why you have to add patent leather to your wardrobe. I would adopt Tony if he would let me.
If you take my advice, tell Tony that the little rabbi from Long Island sent you.

Bentley’s is an excellent shoe store with a variety of superb products. I have been going to store for over 15 years, if not more and have found the assistants polite and extremely helpful. When asked, their opinions can be very frank and trustworthy.

Is the worst experience I ever had. I definately agreed with the client who had the shoe incident, Tony is very rude and sometimes he says the wrong things at the wrong time,kind of intrusive. Please, not all his shoes are all that great. I bought somes over the summer and the sole of the shoe came off. I went to Tony to return them and he was very rude about. I would never refer him to anyone. FOR ALL I CARE I HOPE HE DOES POORLY WITH HIS BUSINESS. What comes around goes around. There is no need to treat your clients that way. I no longer shopped there and I told all of my friends who had shopped there.

My name is Stephanie ... I have shopped @ Bentley's since I got my 1st job bank in the 80s ... The owner has never wavered in his mannerism, kindness and respect for all of his customers ... If a shoe is not for you ... he doesn't just agree w/you to get a sale ... he'll offer you something that does fit your feet ... or tell you about something that is coming in that would suit you perfectly ... What a "gentleman" and a "kindred spirit" ... I know that he is 90% the reason Bentley's has been in business for so long ... the other 10% is the top quality shoes he imports and displays ... Bentley's has been stead fast in it's business and you can always find a kind face & warm smile in the owner everytime ... I thank him for being patient w/ a young girl (18) just starting out in the "work force" back then ... now (44) I can still find that same kindness almost (26) twenty six years later ... Thank you ... 1000X over ...

The best shoe shopping experience I have ever had. Once a Brooklyn resident, now living in Florida, still travel to NY to visit Bentley's shoes. Very knowlegable staff, Owner is very approachable and understanding and best of all if you pay cash you save 10% on your total.
