Not a Safe Place to Bowl
Today while in the 5th frame of our first game, a large group was placed on the lane next to us. Their toddlers were laying on our approach. Needless to say, they were in the way and posed a safety issue to themselves as well as to us. The adults did little to get the toddlers out of the way. A group on the opposite side said that they had alerted management and requested a new lane for my daughter and I.

Management, Lou, came and asked what my complaint was. I was put on the spot with the large group listening, and I told him of the safety issue. To which he informed me that we need to be more tolerant of new bowlers. This is not a good example for my 7 year old daughter. We are both league bowlers. He asked the large group if they knew etiquette and if we could all get along. After he left, I was asked what my problem was. This escalated to at least 5 women yelling at me. Needless to say, my daughter and I packed up to leave. Before we left, a man with the group asked the women if they wanted me to apologize to them. I take that as a threat, especially since I divorced an abusive man! Management did absolutely nothing while the yelling was going on!

At the counter, I was offered another lane. I demanded a full refund. I was told that that group is a nice group of people and that they would never make a threat. I was also told that they bowl in a special program and that they know how to behave. They should have been kicked out of the bowling alley. Instead, our safety was jeopardized and we left. We looked over our shoulder to see if we had been followed. Thankfully, we made it to the car, safely.
