Bella Bistro is one of those rare gems you find once in a while. I have been there twice and both times the food has been exquisite. I have dinned in London, Paris and New York City, and Bella's food rivals that of any restaurant in those cities. Any word I write do not do justice to how amazing the food. And as I took each bite I remember thinking "Hmmm... and this is here is Sanford", no offense to the city of Sanford. Every time I dinne at Bella I want to kiss the chef :-) We are very lucky indeed to have this restaurant in the Sandhills. If you go there I highly recommend the shrimp and grits. The grits are so creamy that you will just close your eyes in ecstasy. And also try the quail appetizer; a fantastic way of starting your dinner.‎

My husband and I get out about once a year, because of two small children, so we want our annual evening out to be special, Bella Bistro, met all our expectations then some, the food and ambiance was amazing, don't let the fact that it's in Sanford fool you, this is urban quality with small town charm, and they support the local farmers, which means fresher food and keeps our money in our community! You will love this place!‎

We have lived in lots of big cities, San Diego, LA, Chicago. . . Bella has food and service that competes with the best restaurants of them all. Calm atmosphere, great service, excellent food. All in Sanford! What a pleasant surprise. Reservations on Friday and Saturday night recommended.‎

Coming from NJ, we never thought we would find such a great restaurant in Sanford. It is as good as any New York City restaurant and we cannot wait to go back.‎
