I signed up for kickboxing classes at this gym to work out with friends. I was skeptical at first since I had to sign a year contract AND I had to provide two separate forms of payment, but I wanted to work out with friends so I signed up without doing sufficient due diligence. At first, classes were fun, but Bear eventually began valuing potential customers over his current clients, and would spend some class time trying to recruit new people instead of teaching the class. Often, his assistants (young high school or college kids) would teach instead of him. He also claims that his prices are rock-bottom, but after looking into other gyms, I realized I was paying a lot more than I would elsewhere. For example, at another gym I would have been able to attend twice as many classes for the same price.
