Waste of time & money!
I ordered a cake for my daughter's b-day. Yes-it was nicely decorated ( thanks to pretty disney princesses) . One of the princesses was supposed to be a light up princess, so i asked how it works& got an answer " I don't know, you figure it out". And so i did. To make the story short- cake was awful, nobody liked the taste, even the kids, almost all went to trash. It was a yellow sponge cake with whipped strawberries inside. I always order my cakes from european Pierre's pastry bakery, everybody loves them, this year i tried to experiment. HUGE MISTAKE!

Delicious bakery with a homey atmosphere
Bea's is a very good bakery, so good that you have to get here early because some things sell out and they don't keep any extra in the back! My favorite is a danish that has fruit and icing on top. I like the blueberry the best but the cherry and pineapple ones are great too. They sometimes have one that has 1/3 of each flavor. MMMMM MMMM. The little butter cookies with sprinkles are so good, you have to try one! The tiny chocolate chip cookies are yummy too. Oh, did I mention the rye bread? It's super good and fresh, be sure to ask if you want it sliced. The only downside is they don't take credit or debit cards. You have to pay by cash or personal check.

Cookies, Cakes, and Confections..Oh My!
Beas Bakery is a valley staple for those in need of baked goods for family gatherings, birthday parties, Jewish Holidays etc. With their vast selections of freshly baked breads, mouthwatering cakes, finger-licking cookies and palatably pleasing pastries, Beas will cater to all of your baked good needs. The hallah is deliciosly doughy, the chocolate chip danishes are gooey and decadent, and the Black and White cookies breath fresh, tasty delight into this Jewish dessert staple. I could not reccomend a better, more reliable, more amazing bakery than Beas!

BEST COOKIE EVER!!!
I was in pursuit of the best German Chocolate cake, and let me tell you Bea's delivered!

When you first walk in, you are overwhelmed by all the delectable cakes, cookies, breads, and loaves. It all looks (and is!) fresh.

I was not looking for a cookie, but since I couldn't eat the cake right away (it was for a birthday), so I asked the girl behind the counter what her favorite cookie is. She said the black & white. Normally, I am not a fan of the Black&White: it is usually dry and crumbly. This cookie was the absolute opposite. It was soft and the black and white was frosted on - it was more like a flat cake in the shape of a cookie. It was GLORIOUS! Not only was it good, but it was big (7" in diameter) and cheap!!! (50 cents).

I was so excited I told my entire office. Bea's is awesome. Just like the name, it reminds me of a grandma's house with all the yummy sweets and breads. Good, all natural, and irresistable.

Business is a good sign
So this was my morning.. I drove down Ventura in search of a fresh baguette.. Went to three different bakeries.. this being the third. So the baguette wasn't the greatest.. I wouldn't even call it a baguette, actually.. but their pastries were a nice find. This place was packed Saturday morning.. and just the sight of a chocolate babka in the case was assuring. Brought an assortment of pastries home to my boyfriend who devoured them all. Definitely reccomended.
