love this place keep it smokin yall

Apparently "Oakland Style" must mean that they employ gang members. The staff messed up almost every order while I was there, and were screaming at each other. They are over priced for the low quality food they are serving and the portions are small. I had the medium sauce, and it had an overpowering sweet flavor I couldn't stand. I wont be back. "Oakland Style" right down to the graffiti on the walls.‎

Yes, this review has nothing to do with their food. On Saturday, June 5, 2010 the owner of this business was in Old Town Sacramento with his dog, which he left locked in his car for over 6 hours without food or water. Yes, the windows were opened between 2"-4", but it was our first sunny hot day with temps in the mid 90's and again, there was no food or water for this animal inside the car. My friend and I were in Old Town for dinner and walked by his car on our way to the restaurant. After finding out we had an hour and half wait, we roamed around town passing his car several times, noticing the dog was still inside and now one around checking on him. We went and had our dinner (we were in the restaurant for approximately another hour and half to two hours) and as we were returning to our car we noticed his car, with the dog still inside, had not moved from its location. Had the Oakland pork sandwich and thought it was good. Sauce was a good mix of tangy and spicy. Good portion size. Would repeat.‎

I went Last night after work and was only able to eat half my plate Very Dry and overcooked like they where on the stove all day. I was up half the night with Diarrhea. I called this morning and was hung up on 2 times trying to get to the boss or owner. By far the worst experience at a restaurant that i have ever had or heard even heard of! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK!‎
