Overall: How do you spell Bay Foam? P-R-O-B-L-E-M-S. We contracted them to do drywall, stucco and Bay Stone/Bay Foam architectural trim on our new 8,000 sq. ft. custom home in Ruby Hill Vineyard Estates. Not only did they demonstrate shoddy workmanship, poor quality control, lack of expertise in delivering what was specified, but they did not even FINISH the job and had the audacity to file a mechanic's lien AND a lis pendens on our house! They never finished the drywall installation, they neglected to apply a primer coat before the stucco color, they bent the bullnose metal corners throughout the house and the President of the company was a no-call no-show when we made an appointment to discuss and review the company's quality issues. Additionally, we paid a 50% deposit on the BayStone/BayFoam architectural stone products in April 2008 and they have never delivered one piece of it...yet they are still trying to collect the balance! BEWARE of BAYFOAM, BAYSTONE, WESTERN WALL SYSTEMS poor workmanship and their questionable business practices!!!
Value: They want to be paid for drywall work not completed and a shoddy stucco finish with the gray bleeding through because they didn't apply a primer coat...how's that for value? We also paid a 50% deposit for Bay Foam products that they refuse to deliver unless we pay them the remaining 50% PRIOR TO unloading the truck.
Service: The owner of the company was a no-call no-show for the appointment we had scheduled to review the quality concerns. He only came out to the jobsite after his workers told him the job was done...but it still was not done and is not complete to this day!
Quality: They failed to apply a primer coat before the color coat of stucco, which is a very light creamy white color. Due to their negligence, there are gray streaks that surfaced throughout the entire exterior of the home.
Pros : They HAD a great project manager, but they let him go right before Christmas 2008.
Cons : Poor workmanship, lack of quality control, bills for work not completed, places liens and files lawsuits for a job not completed.
