Reconsider using Bay City Towing!: If you are doing some price comparisons before you select a towing compay, you may want to think again before using Bay City Towing in Santa Cruz and Watsonville. They quote you one price over the phone, say they can do it right now and then when you get the bill, it's a different story.

You pay for the time they leave their yard until the time they return. A 40 mile tow was going to cost me $375 until I made a stink about it. Then they lowered it to $300 but they already ran my card so I have to wait to get the $75 refund. The driver tried to blame me for the time because it took me 10 minutes to clear out the trunk of my car. I did this while he was setting chains and prepping my car. Not good. In fact really bad customer service!

I left this situation feeling completely taken advantage of. I was price hunting and instead of going for the low bidder, I should've gone after reputation and quality. I won't be penny wise and dollar foolish again!

Don't make the same mistake as me, keep shopping, get a firm price quote BEFORE they arrive and avoid using this company unless you have money to burn.
