Great Seats and Service
StubHub charges $20 per order -- !! -- for the privilege of picking up tickets at its 2nd St location, more than a mile from Staples Center, through a parking garage and up to the second floor. They are aloof -- attitudinal would be an understatement -- which is a shock, especially "in this economy," and they won't waive the convenience fee, even when YOU drive to THEIR location!
Barry's, OTOH, has no fees, and a passel o' SUPER-friendly, sports-guy-chest-bump phone reps (at least one of whom is an avid Kings fan, which yields the added dividend of THEY KNOW STAPLES CENTER LIKE THE BACK OF THEIR HAND. ... You wanna sit in Section 302, Row 2? They will be able to tell you who shoots at that end twice, whether the view is obstructed by the net, glass, penalty box, whatever; and how close the nearest hefeweizen vendor is. Now THAT'S service!)
But I digress. Barry's also buys some of its own inventory, as well as brokering tickets from season ticket holders, so prices are sometimes negotiable, on the phone and at the desk, in advance and at the last minute.
To me, Barry's is everything you could want in a good ticket broker: good inventory, no service charges, good phone and Web support, a GREAT location in the Holiday Inn across the street from Staples, and reps who are knowledgeable and friendly (and who will call you back on the day you specify with tickets for future events). And they are safe and legal!
EDIT: After posting my review, I just remembered one MORE reason I like Barry's. My rep called me AFTER a game to find out how I liked the tickets, and just to, you know, put it out there that I'm free to
