Books galore! There are bookes everywhere in this neighborhood Barnes and Noble. And if you do not find the book your heart desires, then, simply ask them to order it for you. They are really good about that. They even have a little Starbucks cafe inside of their store. Everything is convieniently located in the store and the people are so helpful! I doubt they ever have sales but if you are a member you get 10% off and occasionally they will send you coupons.

Nice bookstore/ cafe by Susan A. at InsiderPages
This is a nice Barnes and Noble, fully equipped with a cafe ((starbucks, what else)) and they have some pretty nice books there for kids, teens, adults, they even have HOW - TO books like how to knit, how to cook, etc. There are some nifty things there while checking out, like bookmarks, and little mini- how- to books. They have a section dedicated to books on pets. Dog breeds, cat breeds, what breed is right for you, how to recognize problems, etc, etc. It is a nice bookstore, but not as big or as nice as the one in Pleasant Hill.

Barnes and Noble - Walnut Creek by renee d. at InsiderPages
This Barnes and Noble, right in Downtown Walnut Creek, is a two story store, with a Starbucks upstairs. They have some seating throughout, but most of their seating is up in the cafe, so you might have to sit there if you want a seat; be prepared for some noise. They have a great selection, and the books they arrange on separate tables throughout the store are always really interesting... I have walked in a few times not expecting to buy anything, but I alwas end up with something!
