Bark N Bitches is in a great location where you can stroll down trendy Melrose or nosh at nearby Canter's deli . Do NOT confuse this with a pet store. This is a classy Doggy Boutique with an amazing assortment of collars and leashes, unique toys, and dog beds galore! Each item at Bark N Bitches is hand selected by the owner Shannon - who has exquisite taste and a passion for all things canine. Shannon is a tireless advocate for unwanted dogs, and rescues dogs about to be euthanized from high-kill shelters. She has adoption fairs daily., and finds a loving home for each of her rescues.
The mascot of the store is Shannon's own dog Ava - the sweetest pitbull you'll ever meet.. But be very careful around Ava...she might kiss you to death!!!

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my 9week puppy. I needed a collar. The selection was awesome. On top of that, what I hadn't expected was that I could also get my puppy micro-chipped at Bark N Bitches. The owner was super helpful educating me on the process and then actually doing it there at the store. very cool.

My boyfriend was shopping with our french bulldog puppy in this place last week and the owner's pitbull attacked our puppy! Her pitbull bit our puppy's face and punctured all the way through his cheeks in 3 places as well as ripped underneath half of his nose! The owner refused to take any responsibility at all and she should NOT have that pitbull in the store. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG IN!! I'll never shop here again. EVER.

As a major dog lover it's hard not to lavish compliments on a store like Bark N' Bitches. The owner is very nice and her dog Eva, a gorgeous gray pitbull, is adorable! She might look a little frightening at first, but one wag of the tail and you know she's all puppy. The store has a fun selection of stuff including doggie driver's licenses! I really love that they do the Dogs Without Borders adoptions too -- I wish I could adopt all the dogs!
