Reno Redhead by Kira S. at InsiderPages
I've taken all of my dogs here for years. The vets and staff are knowledgeable and all of them clearly love animals. Last Dec. a Fed-Ex driver threw a clearly marked box of brownies over the fence to my three waiting dogs. When I went out an hour later to find all three dogs gathered around 'something' I walked up to see what it was. Knowing chocolate is toxic to dogs I called the vet at Baring and told him what happened. He said to bring the dogs in right away. I reminded him I had an hour drive in and it was Friday, close to five PM, on a holiday week. He said not to worry, he'd be waiting when I got there. He could have just told me to go to the emergency vet in S.Reno, another 1/2 hr away. The vets always make sure I understand what's going on and don't rush me when I have questions. A great place to take your animals.

amazing hospital
I have been going to Baring for 5 years. Love the staff, I am always greeted with a smile. They have seen my dog since she was a pup and I cannot think of a place safer where I know that she will be getting the absolute BEST care available. All of the Doctors are knowledgeable in their fields, and I know every time I bring Daisy in she is in good hands.

Be Aware if your pet is being treated here,.
Ifr you take your pet to Baring Boulevard animal hospital, make sure you ask for Dr. Leautier or Dr. Luikart. I have personally experience their professonal care of my pets and they are excellent.

If your pet should be put on any kind of medication, check the dosage, especially is it is metronidazole and it is over 150 ml per day. My pet was overdosed by a vet at Baring because he placed a 1 year old Shih-tzu weighing less than 15lbs. on 500 mg per day for 14 days. She died in my arms in April and I have yet to receive an apology or acknowlegdement from the vet that killed my love one.

Also be aware, if you board there. Make sure you put in writing how your pet is to be fed and definitely, if you mix canned with dry, have them notate your record what you brought with your pet. They do not keep records and it is impossible to find out what your pets were fed, when and how much.

If you have had any problems with loosing a pet while in their care or being treated by this hospital, please email me at:
