Fantastic new menu, Servers who will ninja you a fresh pint when its time, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whats not to love?

I have to say in a city filled with Irish bars, The Bards takes the cake. The Bards finds the correct balance between kitschy decorations (love love the Guinness tucans), great beer (local, domestic and international) and sticking to good 'ole Irish hospitality. From what I have had, I've been pleased with their pub grub (I recommend the chips and curry- it tastes exactly like you would get from a restaurant in Ireland) and their wings are bigger than you would usually find in other bars (great sauce!). The staff is friendly and the space is inviting, neither one of them ever being "too much". Also a plus, a dart board with decent darts kept behind the bar and International soccer being shown on the TV's. I suggest this as a great 2nd date stop or an evening's destination for debauchery with good friends.

this is by far the most genuine Irish Bar in Philadelphia. real Irish staff. Friendly warm atmosphere. Great food. Awesome drink selection. They have a drink special nearly every day and their happy hour rocks. Great place to watxh my favourite sports (EPL, NFL, NHL AND PHILLIES!) and they always have drink specials for them as well. Can't go wrong.

Nice atmosphere - like most Philly bars, tends to get pretty loud Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

Good selection of beers and quick, friendly service.

This place has it all, tremendous food, great beer and atmosphere. Worth finding seaking out. First stop next time I go to Philadelphia
