Avoid This School
There was more access to illicit substances at Faith Baptist than my public high school.

Critical thinking was not encouraged and certainly not taught.

Focus on religion often detracted from learning.

Writing was not a focus.

Teachers were poorly qualified.

I am so glad that my children attended Faith Baptist School
My daughter has some minor learning problems and school was never easy for her. Thanks to the loving, caring and well-qualified teachers at F.B., my daughter went on to do well in college and now is a succesful busniss women. But, more than that, she is a commited Christian. I thank God for Faith Baptist Schools.

Horrible 8yrs spent there... by allexis a. at InsiderPages
As an 8yr former student of this school, I urge anyone that cares about their child's emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development to not attend Faith Baptist... or their church services. Although they try to make sure children have a good base education in English and math, excelling in academics will come easily to anyone who can memorize. The majority of lessons involve memorizing facts with little to no real explanations. Many times children were discouraged and/or scolded for asking critical-thinking questions. This school teaches little to no critical thinking skills and even fewer truly creative projects. The science that I learned there was ludicrous. On top of that, the spiritual messages that were sent to us were all based on fear, damnation, and shame. Many of my former classmates left that school with utterly low self-esteem and a distorted value of self-worth.

This school was a center for major emotional damages.

enquirey about church by Mansueta E. at InsiderPages
I have heard from my niece Cristina Niega that your church is very conservative.I belong to Bible Baptist Fellowship in the Philippines. I know that you have Filipinos attending your church. I am glad to have fellowship with your worshipers one Sunday if you don't mind. I'm visiting Los Angeles this month, I appreciate if one of the Filipinos attending your church will give a ride to your church I will be glad to worship God with you. My address: 20936 Rodax Street, Canoga Park, CA, Tel No (818) 993-7150. My name Mansueta (Dedith) Equina

DO NOT SEND by Melody R. at InsiderPages
I attended the school for 9 years and it was pure torture. They use the Bible to justify hatred and judgment towards their fellow man. The kids cannot move the wrong way without it being a sin, it adds so much extra pressure when education should be the focus. many teachers are grossly under qualified and are there purely for religious merit. teachers end up spending classes (like math and science) preaching instead of teaching. Correct me if im wrong but there is a time and place for spiritual counseling.

I think going there made me a stronger person, but if it hadn't been for my independent nature i never would have learned about other cultures, religions, philosophies and the importance of tolerance in a land of immigrants and so called equality. (all of these things i learned by doing my own research and through college courses)

This school does not prepare children for the real world academically or psychologically. A school associated with religion can be a good thing if the religion is used in a positive and healthy manner however no compassion is shown here. Fake smiles and good words are given to the parents (in hopes of financial gain due to the ever decreasing student body) but it is a much different scenario for the students.

It is only useful in a Baptist Taliban type of society of poorly educated biggots.

Instill whatever religion and moral values you want in your children, if the foundation is strong no one can shake it.
