Banting's offers the best selection of plants and you can pretty much trust that whatever they carry will do well in our climate (as with most locally owned nurseries). They describe themselves as "no frills" which is accurate enough, but the grounds are well organized and maintained. The only warnings I can possibly add is that you'll want to wear old shoes if it's rained recently. The location is accessible, but keep an eye on the Huey P. Long construction status if you're an eastbanker.

This nursery has every possible native plant you could want, and some you probably didn't know about. Their selection and prices are above the rest. The staff is very helpful. It's probably out of your way, but well worth the drive.
