Very Caring by K. Leah F. at InsiderPages
I've been taking my bearded dragon to banfield for a couple of months now. They do their best to provide many possible solutions to my pet's problems, and work well with my limited budget--offering home remedies, simple treatments and tons of information. Even the vet sends me emails when he finds out something new that might help me! I'm much more satisfied with them than my previous vets, that wished to charge me an arm and a leg for procedures that didn't work. I will continue to take my pets to Banfield.

Best Ever - My Dogs Love This Place!
I bring all my dogs to Banfield in Wake Forest! I started with the puppy in May and when I realized what great care (and great price) they provided I transferred my 3 older dogs! In the past I would try to home treat my older dogs, because the typical vet visit bill would top the $250 mark - it did not matter how sick the dog was or how routine the visit! Now, as part of the Banfield program - costs are so under control and the older guys are even getting their teeth cleaned! Something I simply could not afford before Banfield!

Pros: Location, Hours and Staff
Cons: Located in the back of the PetSmart - need to bring the dogs pass all that fun stuff!

Keep Looking
Banfield is a corporate pet farm of an animal hospital. To be fair they seem heavily overworked but I suppose that's because they don't turn down business. My experience with this place was less than stellar. I can't say my dog was mistreated although he did come home from an overnight stay with a small cut over his eye, no one could or would explain that. But my real complaint is with the staff overall. The girl at the reception desk screwed up my appointments not one but three times! I show up with my dog and with a sheepish smile informs me my appointment was this morning or it's the wrong day or she forgot to put me in. Plus she undercharged me on the bill even when I insisted she was making an accounting error. Sure enough, the vet himself called to assure me the bill had been corrected and when I told him the girl made a mistake he commented that it must of been something I overlooked....huh? This place is terrible. Never going back again.

Wonderful by Megan D. at InsiderPages
Absolutely wonderful. My puppy had a huge cut on her arm that needed to be treated. They got us in very fast and took care of her. They were very nice and attentive and really seemed to care. I would easily recommend them to someone who needed their pet treated quickly.

Would not recommend by K. C. at InsiderPages
I went to the Banfield on Capital in Raleigh for my two dogs until the Wake Forest location opened. I was very happy with the Raleigh location, but the Wake Forest location is terrible, and I am switching vets. They try to give every unnecessary procedure and of course with a pet your easily guilted into it. As a result, you end up avoiding calling when you have a problem. I last brought in my dog a few weeks ago because he had some accidents, and I wanted to make sure he didn't have a bladder infection. The doctor said she didn't think it was a bladder infection, then the tech came in with an estimate of nearly $400! To check for a bladder infection? They then told me I really needed all the procedures. I got them down to about $230, and they made me feel guilty about it. I always had highly recommended Banfield to my friends, but after going to their Wake Forest location for the past 3 years I would strongly recommend avoiding all Banfields.

PROS: Weekend and evening hours.
CONS: Try to rack up bills with unnecessary procedures
