Don't waste your money!! by Amber B. at InsiderPages
Ok, we have been going here for the last 9 months and they have done nothing for our dog, other than attempting to charge us with all kinds of tests. We know after taking some medication they prescribed that our dog has an allergy (either to fleas or our rabbit or both), however, they want to charge us $800 to peform an allergy test and bloodwork, instead of just prescribing the medicine because they must diagnose for certain. They want to do a liver test in order to also prescribe medicine that our friends dog is on for his allergies and his vet said nothing about doing any of these tests, yet Banfield refuses unless you pay. They are only there to make money. They don't seem to really care about the welfare of the dog, so my dog is going to suffer for a few days more until I can see a real vet. I just thought that Banfield would be lower in costs, but I was very wrong...they will get you with their push on flea meds and other diagnostics, when sometimes it is very obvious what is wrong and that stuff just isn't needed.

Just OK by Lauren J. at InsiderPages
I have had my dog on a Banfield Wellness Plan for about two years now. I have lived in three different cities and used Banfield in all of them. This isn't the worst I've seen, but it's definitely not the best. They are always very busy and the desk staff seem to get flustered pretty easily. They are not the best at taking time with you and explaining things. No one has ever been rude, but they don't go above and beyond to be nice. Luckily my dog is generally healthy so we're not in there much except for routine vaccinations. I'm considering switching to La Jolla.

Banfield Pet Hospital
Don't fall for Banfield's free pet exam to introduce you to their staff and services. We were solicited for this free exam inside a Petsmart store, where the Banfield was located. The Three Stooges could have performed a better exam. The doctor was clearly not interested in performing even a cursory examination of my pet, who could have had ear, heart, eye, or dental issues which would not been discovered. Instead, we received a printed list recommending hundreds of dollars worth of blood tests and procedures, even though our pet was young and healthy. I am sure Banfield can justify their gimmicks, but they are rapidly getting a bad reputation for marketing tactics grossly contrary to the care and concern advertised on their brochures. HHhhaaachh--Ptu!

The Dr.'s are so caring at Banfield
The Dr.;s are very caring and in touch with our feelings as our older dog was slowly dying over a 6 month period. They did every procedure and gave so much attention to detail. We were very pleased with every visit and Dr. Shelly Nilsson became not only our personal vet but also our friend. Thank you Banfield for everything. Sincerely, Julie Fogelstrom

Very bad service. Doctor never saw my dog.
This place was awful. I made an appointment for noon during a weekday. I planned on going during my lunch break from work. I only needed a common prescription that should have taken 10 minutes max. I arrived right on time and had to wait 10 minutes to be moved into an examination room. Then I waited another 20 minutes for the doctor, or anyone to come in and see my dog. I finally went to the front and asked when the doctor was coming. Someone went to go find the doctor. After ANOTHER 10 minutes I had to leave to go back to work. I wasted a long time there and was never even seen. I later called up to complain and I received no apologies or explanations. I would never go back there and I would never recommend it. I made an appointment the next week with a different vet and was in and out within 15 minutes.
