Researching a Vet by Patty H. at InsiderPages
Well it would seem that it is time for everyone to consider their options as to who they choose for a vet and do some research. The animal shelters or animal groups can probably make a better recommendation than the phone book or the chain store PetCo. Don't get me wrong - I go to the Petco (or Petsmart or whatever it is) but I buy pet products there, not take my pet there.

This being said, you should try Four Corners Veterinary Hospital in Concord on Meadow Lane. However, if your whole issue is about saving $10 on a visit then you should stay with Banfield - the Kaiser of the veterinary hospitals.

My little baby Flower went to this wretched hospit????l in CONCORD CA at petsmart and that was the hospit????l we had trusted for soooo long!!! Then after he came back from his check-up he was covered in mangy disgusting filthy fleas!! Now our whole house is like infested by them and our CAR too!! So now we're going to make Petsmart pay for EVERYTHING aka what we buy there for the flea stuff and also other necessities we may need that will be expensive, so THERE hahaha, you guys LOSE! =]]

NEVER AGAIN
SO I HAVE A LITTLE CHIHUAHUA AND SHE GOT REALLY SICK AND SENSE I HAD PET INSURANCE I WENT AHEAD AND BROUGHT HER THERE. FIRST OFF THERE STAFF IS HORRIBLE, IT CHANGES EVERY TIME IM THERE AND THEY ARE NOT SO NICE. WELL ANYWAYS THE DOCTOR WHO WAS THERE DECIDED TO MEDICALLY TREAT HER, WELL THAT WAS $400 ONLY TO NOT HELP AT ALL. IT ACTUALLY MADE HER WORSE. I HAD TO TAKE HER TO THE EMERGENCY VET AND SHE HAD TO STAY THERE FOR ANOTHER 3 DAYS AND THAT COST ME AN ARM AND A LEG. SO MY ADVICE DONT GO HERE. MAYBE THEY ARE GOOD AT SHOTS AND LITTLE STUFF, BUT I WOULDNT TAKE THE CHANCE.

not a fan
My cat had pet insurance through this hospital (located inside of Petsmart) and so we brought here often for checkups and especially when she got sick. She was misdiagnosed several times by the head Vet there, and we ended up having to bring her in to the UC Davis Vet hospital, where they took the correct xrays and told us exactly what was wrong. Turns out the Bansfield Vet was way off, and we wasted a lot of time and money, and my cat suffered immensely because of it. I don't think the people here care about animals at all or even know what they are doing.

nice wellness plan by David B. at InsiderPages
They have nice wellness plans that are great for puppies since they need lots of shots and check ups. It also gives you a slight discount on mediciation and other items you need to purchase. However in comparison with other vet hospitals I feel this place is more of a mall type potrait place instead of a professional studio. They are there to get you on your way, not really give great quality care. It's a good place to go if you pet just needs routine stuff, but I wouldn't go there if my pet was really sick.
