The exterior did not seem open and friendly so we actually walked around a little exploring other choices before daring ourselves to try it. Iordered the Koobideh and it was quite decent. A tad bit salty but with the saffron rice and some salad and cucumber yogurt it was palatable.
My husband wanted to order the lamb stew but the waiter told him not everyone liked it because it has a very strong sourish taste. He then kindly suggested that we sample the dish first then decide. We were pleasantly surprised and pleased. It was a good thing he suggested that for the dish did indeed turn out to be rather strong for our taste. He ended up ordering the lamb shank instead with some rice and that was good.
We have tasted better Persian food cooked by our friends so this place was not all that impressive. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, the food was fast but overall we probably would not return.

Just from having the most exotic dishes in SD, they get my sincere vote.

I will surely never eat here again, nor do I recommend it to anyone else. I went because of good reviews from a magazine in my hotel room. If you've seen this magazine, do not believe it. Believe most of the ratings you see here on this website. That article must have been written a while ago and maybe when this restaurant was under previous management. The food really was tasteless and my wife and I were sold filet mignon that tasted really old and overcooked; and it was supposed to be cooked medium. Our waiter barely spoke English and it took about 15 mins just to get our order correct. We felt really ripped off because the meal was pricey. I can't remember the last time I felt that way at a restaurant. Don't know about Persian food, but if you like Spanish food, I highly recommend Sevilla also located on fourth street. The ambiance there is outstanding as well.

The Adas Polo is to die for. The mixture of flavors are a perfect combination.

I had never eaten Persian food, and had absolutely no idea what to expect when I was taken here on a date, but I have to admit, the food was very good and the ambiance is wonderful. I can't even pronounce what I had, but it was very good!
