I just went to Bally because my husband signed me up for the free week to check it out. The gym is very nice, but be prepared to be taunted to sign a contract that day. The lady kept pushing me, you will lose this $100.00 off deal if you dont sign today. I kept telling her no, I dont feel comfortable enough yet to sign. Then she got the manager to do the same thing, try to push me to sign. They eventually stopped when I told them I didnt like them pressuring and intimidating me. I am already an athlete, and just wanted a little more of a workout. I dont like Bally because of this. I was never given a chance around the people and the gym to know, it was very overwelming, and very uncomfortable.‎

I'm personally sorry to hear that some people may have had a bad experience before Bally's permanent club opened. Everyone knows that they were delayed by the surrounding development being behind schedule. I have been a member since the new club opened and the facility is awesome, the staff is great and the convenience is unbelievable (esp when they finish road construction at Bluebonnet and Perkins). The open airy feel, consistent music throughout and covered, garage parking make going to work out easy and enjoyable.‎

I joined this club while it was still a "temporary" facility. I was promised that the bigger club with more services would be open soon (within four months). The permenant club didn't open for another year and a half! AND... the temporary facility did not provide the services that I was promised. When I spoke to the management about this, they brushed it off and offered me coupons and "free stuff." I had wanted to join classes, etc, which were planned to be offered at the new permenant facility, but were not offered at the temporary facility. Had I known that the permenant facility wouldn't be open for a year and a half, I wouldn't have joined the club! They refused to work with me on my contract or actively listen to my complaints. Be careful when getting into business with this group. I've read other bad reviews about this company.‎
