No complaints here
Opinions are like a__holes. Everyones got one.

I havent had any problems with this studio. Be a big kid and find out for yourself. If you have questions, ask the owners. If I have an issue, I'll talk to Tracy before I pull my kid out of the school and write a bad review. Don't go from 0-100 like that!

My daughters love Ballet Petit! by Sheila R. at InsiderPages
My daughters have been taking ballet and tap at Ballet Petit for 4 years. We just completed our second show and the best year by far at the studio. The girls have really enjoyed their classes and loved working on the show which was beautifully choreographed and very professional.

In our 4 years at Ballet Petit, the studio has gone through some really rough transitions. At the end of our first year, the owner passed away leaving the studio to her daughters who managed from a far while making arrangements to sell the business. During that time, everyone pulled together to keep the studio functioning, but the level of professionalism fell. Parents brought their children to class late and unprepared, teachers canceled classes and the staff was sleepy at best.

When the new owners took over there was a lot of resistance to change. They had a vision for a very professional studio and enforced the rules that had been in place originally. They wanted to create a Performing Arts Center and decided to move away from The British Ballet and its exam style and expanded the range of classes to include Musical Theater, Pilates, Acting and Vocal Lessons. They also created ensemble and company performing groups.

The combination of changes resulted in a lot of bad feelings in the first year. Before returning to BP this year, we shopped around at the other area studios. My daughters took classes and we attended shows. In the end, my daughters wanted to return to Ballet Petit.... and I'm very glad that we did!

We've had a great year and the energy in the studio is really fun. The halls that used to be filled with negativity are now fun and lively, the staff is wonderful and the shows are experiences that my daughters will cherish.

Re: Outrageous Claim
We are members of this studio and just read the most recent review of which is an over-reaction to say the least. We know who wrote this and can say that she is quite the over-bearing loud mouth power struggling type of person who's mind frame is my kid can do no wrong...

There is a point to be had here though...the studio is in LaCanada, a fairly wealthy community that is quite used to over-indulgence and the pampering of kids and adults. So keep that in mind. Sweat, work, and reality are subjects that may have been forgotten, or never lived, by some of the parents.

This is an incredible school that wants students that want to learn. Not their pushy over-bearing parents. We LOVE the school and have been here for over 6 years and ADMIRE the instructors as well as their discipline. This school is going to produce dancers and performers and your child will learn respect, discipline, and all the positives that go with that. Unbelievable progress has been made in just the two years of the new ownership. The dancers are incredible...well at least the ones that are focused. The whiners....well they just hamper the class and maybe the school really isn't for them. In my opinion, if you are a whiner, please go away. You're wasting my daughter's time and subjecting her to a filthy attitude.

Great ballet school. Incredible tap classes. Parking is a little confusing, but once you figure out that you can park in the McDonalds, its easy. Performances are out of the world and classy classy classy! They will make you so proud.

Outrageous Claims
You may think that filling out a Dumbo costume in The Main Street Electrical Parade is Dancing with Disney. I do not.
You can say that you danced with the Joffre Ballet even if all the parts were itty-bitty ones. The question is should you?.
Challenge claims of expertise and experience.
This is your child.
I Danced With The Stars when I was younger.
Really.
We were on a camping trip and the sky was so clear you could see every one.
The health and well being of your little one is at stake.
Before you put down your money, sit in the lobby and listen to the way business is conducted.
Listen to the owner rant about how she is getting rid ot the
Problem Parents.
Are you that parent?
You will be soon.
Listen to an instructor tell your overweight daughter that she sucks at ballet and will never be any good at it.
Is that really the lesson you want your child to learn?
Hear another employee tell your child that she should not even think of college. It is a waste of time.
This from a high school drop out. Correct that. High school equivalency certificate recipient. Impressive.
Just the individual I want counseling my child. And you?
The owners are too cheap to turn on the air conditioner in the studios. The air is stifling.
Water is not allowed in the classrooms.
Until a recent fainting episode students were not allowed to get a drink of water during class. This is dangerous. It ignores current training regimine practices. Hydration is key to performance. Young skinny bodies are more prone to the effects of dehydration.
Of course, if your little one drinks too much water....well you know where I am heading.
To the restroom.
Whoa there partner. Not if you are in class.
Recently a student was told that she could not return to class if she left.
Punishing a child for having to pee.
I am thinking Mommy Dearest. Are
