1st time since 98........what happened to this place??
I know the one on preston is the only one left now ... I thought they might have up the standard or re-deco the place or atleast make the food better...boy was I dissapointed
as I walked in I was greeted with a smile (manager/owner figure) sat down in a booth...the somewhat emo server took my drink order so I left for the15 or so item buffet table...as I can see the choices are very limited and americanized....rice/brown rice (didn't have any), sweet & sour pork / chicken (didn't bother trying), stir-fry chow mein (this is good and a must for me), string beans (this was good), kung pao beef (over cooked beef), gen. tsao's chicken (too much flours on meat), mushroom chicken (tasteless)...on the other side they also have fried chicken wings / HUGE egg rolls (on top of the heating table), spring rolls, some suspicious looking california roll, salad, 2 more fried things (no idea what they are), egg plants (these were ok), and steamed salmon in black beancurd sauce (didn't try), dim sum have dumplings that's all broken(didn't try), and beef shu mai (just plain meatball with dumpling skin wrapped around the outside)
over all it's I gave it 2 stars...I don't know how they stay in business with this standard of operations
parking lot - small (horrible during lunch hours)
1st impression - friendly / fast table (for a big restaurant, the place was pretty empty)
deco - was old looking, no update since 1998???
food - just so so for 8.95 plus tax and tips (can easily get better food else where)
emo server - no one offer me any soup there's none at the buffet table, took almost 10 minutes trying make eye contact had to waved at the manager get my check
environment - only saw 1 tv in the whole place, booth chair was kind of low for the table or broken
