These guys are great!
I've been doiing business with AMEC for years and have found them to be nothing but honest, helpful and courteous. I am familiar with the situation this guy is talking about - as I understand it, AMEC went out of their way to do everything possible for him and it turned out to be an issue with this guy's own software. Anyway, AMEC is a great place. Try them out next time you have a computer issue. They are knowledgeable, professional people who can help you with a new PC or repair one you have.

I will never do business with them again.
Amec was highly recommended by the company I work for. We had a lot of AMEC pc's in our office, so I thought I'd have them build me a gaming PC. They said they knew gaming pc's so I ordered one. They called me and said it was finished and to come pick it up. I get there, my PC is still sitting on the tech bench opened up. While I was waiting, it crashed/fried, right in front of me. They said the mainboard was shot, and they would have one overnighted. I should have pulled the plug on this deal right then and there. I took delivery of the PC and after about 3-6 months it developed a problem where it would hang on bootup. I took it in for warranty repair. They said it was the power supply and replaced it. The problem persisted. I took it back. This time they said it was the ASUS Mainboard and the AMD CPU. They replaced these. At this time they informed me that they sent my old power supply back to the factory, and the factory asked why, there was nothing wrong with it. I still have this PC. It works well now, I seemed to have solved the problem, a BIOS setting, myself. The new power supply AMEC said they put in? It just went out. My PC is out of warranty now. Thank god for that. I found a new PC repair shop. Got a nice new power supply installed. The new tech also said he didnt think AMEC ever installed the power as they claimed. Too bad for AMEC. They have no idea how much business they lost. Our office just replaced all our old PC's, and we found a new supplier. We would not even by a power cord from them.
