My A/c Unit went out on 08/06./11 . I call John Moore because they do not charge a trip charge. The tech showed up and ask to look in the attic which i thought was strange . He then asked to look at the unit and told me that my compressor was blown. Quoted me $3.599.99 to replace the compressor and $5.599.99 to relace the entire unit, also started quoting me $3 -4 grand to add insulation in my attic as a "add on" told him I would call him back. I never did.
My wife callled ARVELL MOORE and it was all uphill from there. After the visit from the John Moore tech and calling around all day I was not trusting any more A/C and Heating co. ARVELLE MOORE changed all that, not only was the rep who answered the call polite she was patient and friendly. They answered all our questions and took our info and said that that they would call back with a quote. The manager, Steve called back and was very professional in letting us know what our options were. Gave us a quote to replace our unit for $2,500.00 incl labour and $1,500.00 to replace the compressor. We told them to send a tech out to check our unit and Dan showed up. At this time it was 9pm he called us and told us that he was running late as he was fininshing up with another clent. and if we wanted him to still come out we said yes Dan was friendly. proffessional and polite. Took one look on our unit and told us it was the capacitor that was bad, relace it for $249.00 plus added freon.
Absolutely the BEST service we had recieved all day. I will certainly reccommend Arvell Moore to any one.

I would not recommend this company for repairing the AC. They are not so professional. The fans of our AC were broken. They suggested us to replace by a new one. That needs a big budget above $2000. I called another company, they checked the outside and inside unit, and promised us $500 dollars to get it repaired. By the way, the service fee is too high in Arvell Moore. They had a ad. saying $68 discount. But I have to pay $70 after the discount (what does the discount mean?). I check other companies and just need around $60 or less.
The techs are not so patient. All process they did not explain too much. I want to ask the discount things, they just said you have to pay %%% after the discount. Anyway, I would never recommend this company!

Martin and his crew from Arvell Moore in LaPorte, recently installed an entirely new ac/heating system (including ductwork) in my EI Lago home.

They arrived on time, in fact actually 15 minutes early, for the job, which is rare in my experiences.

They were careful to cover all carpets and flooring wherever they would be traveling. They were very polite and professional at all times. They answered all my questions courteously, taking time to explain how the system worked.

They worked the entire day and into the evening so that my family would be comfortable for the night. Tony, Tony and Tony, three great workers from the crew even removed two dead and very stinky critters from a tight crawl space in my attic! When finished, they cleaned up their mess and removed all the old debris.

I highly recommend Martin and his crew for any of your heating or air­conditioning needs.
