Even though Virgin is across the street Armadillo is the only record store I shop at. They give me the best trade in value for my old music but still sell new music at inexpensive prices. They have a great selection. They have been able to special order rare and out of print CDs I could not find elsewhere. Their employees are knowledgable and nice. The best perk is that I can listen to CDs before I buy.

I enjoy coming here to purchase my cds. They have this bargain bin near the door where you can always find some good cds if you look hard for 2-6 bucks. The service there is great. The employees seems to know a lot about different type of music. Also, they sell video games and dvds too. Its also a place where you could sell your used cds and dvds. I enjoy coming here. They have a variety of collection of music and the customer service is always great.

The Armadillo Music store sells both a variety of new and used cds as well as dvds and video games. They can give you great deals on tickets for concerts as well as great deals for the music that you thought you'd never find again. The bargin bins are a wonderful find if you dig a bit. The store seems crowded, as there is a huge row of music running through the middle of the store. The clerks here are funny silly people and are very un-invasive. They let you search to your heart's desire, but can help you find something if you want it fast.

Another chance to support a smaller store over a big chain, armadillo music is a good place to shop for music locally. Again, you are likely to pay a bit more than from the huge online retailers, but you get the music immediately, and you can brows in the store for things you might like.

The only independent record store in Davis, it is the place to get your indie, electronic, hip-hop, and rock CDs that Tower Records across the street will not carry. Its a bit small so you might not find the most obscure things, but they can mail order just about anything for you. The staff is usually made up of stalwarts in the Davis music scene, so they are very friendly and knowledgeable.
