Great Service
The Technician was friendly and courteous. He did great work. They arrived on time. I was very pleased with the service. However price wise, I was a little set back based on a previous review. I had made my choice based on that price range given by Norman C along with the fact that the $50 service call is waived if I choose to allow the Technician to fix my machine.
I had a 12 year old Maytag (Model # MAV5000AWW) that needed a new water pump, and called based on the review of Norman C. Considering it was a water pump which turns out to be one of the easiest things to change on the washer, the price of labor alone would rule out the price range mentioned in Norman C's review. Labor was $100. That plus a $70 water pump and a $42 belt added up to the grand total was $212 plus tax. The repair was less than 10 minutes work and required the removal of two screws and 3 bolts. The technician did make a 15 minute trip to the shop to get the part however they stated that this does not play a factor in the total cost. Since I had already committed to a $50 service call, I figured I might as well get that waived and pay a difference of +$50 for the labor. Given my experience I don't see how they would fix a washer for less than $200.
Update: I found the Water pump online for $40 and belt for $28. I think I could have fixed it myself. Oh well; Live and Learn.
