I was hit by a driver insured with Apollo. He was issued a ticket and totalled my vehicle and his. Apollo sent me a letter with a form to complete. A week later, they sent me a letter asking for my representative who was handling my claim. Two days later i received a letter stating their policyholder stated I hit him and they are denying my claim. I advised the Apollo representative their policyholder was issued a ticket. The representative said it doesn't matter. I asked shouldn't they subrogate against my insurance for his damages. The representative said he didn't carry comprehesive or collision. He did carry medical and if he files his medical bills, then they will subrogate against State Farm. I advised the representative he took a ride in the ambulance because he hit his head and told the police officer he couldn't remember what happended. The accident occurred on July 29, 2011 and we (me or my insurance company) have not heard from Apollo. Since I live in FL, I will need to obtain an attorney in IL to bring suit againt their claimant and Apollo. Can anyone recommend an attorney in Downers Grove, IL?

If you are in a claim situation with, Apollo, Delphi, American Access, American Freedom and countless other nonstandart companies that sell insurance in IL know that your claim will not get handled fairly and quickly. Contact an personal injury attorney ASAP. Even with the attorney the claim can take up to 2 years to settel and unfortynately there is not much you can do. Make sure your own insurance is with one of the standart carriers with good limits. Carriers I recomend for fair claim handling are: Progressive, Travelers, Statefarm, American Family, Geico, Pekin, EMC, Metlife. There are other carriers that are as good. Make sure you carry at least 50000 medical limit to cover yourself specially if you don't have health insurance. Good luck.

BY FAR THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY ARE SO RUDE AND THEY ARE LIARS.
I READ SO MANY REVIEWS AND I DID NOT SEE 1 NICE COMMENT ABOUT THEM. THEY ARE LUCKY TO STILL BE OPEN. ITS BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS AND I DIDN'T GET ANY SETTLEMENT YET. THERE INSURER WAS AT FAULT, ALSO THEY WERE CHARGED WITH A DUI AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. AND STILL THEY ARE DOING INVESTIGATING. FOR WHAT? THEY ARE 100% AT FAULT.
MY BOYFRIEND WAS DRIVING GOING NORTHBOUND ON THE EXPRESS WAY, A DRUNKEN DRIVER WAS HEADING SOUTHBOUND IN THE NORTHBOUND LANES. DROVE RIGHT INTO MY BOYFRIEND AND ANOTHER CAR. MY VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THEY HAD TO SAW MY BOYFRIEND OUT THE CAR AND HE WAS RUSHED IN THE HOSPITAL. I NEVER SEEN A CAR ACCIDENT LIKE THIS EVER. IT WAS SCARY! EVERYTHING WENT WELL FILING THE CLAIM THAN THE TROUBLE STARTED: EVERYTIME I CALLED TO F/U ON MY CLAIM I WOULD GET A DIFRENT PERSON EVERYTIME, I SENT EVERY DOCUMENT THEY REQUESTED TO THEM TWICE BECAUSE THEY ALWAYS KEPT CLAIMING THEY NEVER RECEIVED IT. I SPOKE TO A ROSA BRAVO THERE AND THE EMPLOYEE SHOULD NOT EVEN WORK THERE, SHE IS THE RUDEST AND A LIAR, I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH.... SHE EVEN CALLED MY AUTO SHO AND SAID TO GO AHED AND FIX IT, JUST TO KNOW IT WAS ALL A LIE.. THE REASON I KNOW IS BECAUSE I CALLED BACK BECAUSE I WAS WAITING FOR THE CHECK SHE SUPPOSLY SENT IN THE MAIL AND NEVER RECEIVED, AND SHE SAID NO ONE EVER APPROVED IT AND I CONFRONTED HER...
