I had a clogged sewer main so I called Anytime Plumbing at about 9:20am. They said they could have a techician out to my house between 11am and 2pm. At 2:20pm I called them and was told that we would be next so I asked if they thought it was good business to fail to call or show up and what were they willing to do to make up for it. He offered $20 off of the bill and apologized.
When the tech finally got there he was nice enough and he told me it wold be $225 to clear the main. While I thought it was high I really need it open so I showed him where the cut out was and he proceeded to power auger my line. His machine had 75 feet of cable and he ran it all the way out and still didn't hit the blockage.
He then proceeded to tell me that i must have a dip or valley in my line and the only way to clear it would be to power jet the line and that would be $675. I told him no thank you and he packed up and left.
Since he didn't clear the line there wasn't any charge.
I had another plumber come out Power Drain Service and Ron hit the clog at about 80 to 85 feet and cleared the line. He only charged me $113.75.
Pros : If they don't get it fixed there's no charge.
Cons : Expensive and the technician tried to upsell me to a service I didn't need.
