I've gone to Anna George for several years, initially for convenient shape-ups between appointments with my regular stylist. They are always accommodating to my schedule and get me in immediately. I've had several stylists work on my hair and have never gotten a bad cut from anyone at this salon. One day the fates put me together with Colin, who is now my regular stylist. He is amazingly talented because he has a great sense of style and actually listens. I've lived in this city for eleven years, and Colin is the first stylist who cut my (rather difficult) hair the way it needs to be cut instead of giving me the latest trend. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have been going to Anna George Salon for years. I know everyone who works there, they are all very friendly. The manicurists are sweet, I take whoever is available since I call the last minute and they accomodate me. I have never had a bad experience. This is a very busy salon. There are at least ten
manicurists. You get a great service for a good price. I like that they can do manicures and pedicures at the same time because of my schedule. They guarantee their work, if your polish chips, they will redo it or you can request someone else. For kel123 who assumed she spoke to the owner, I can tell you she has not been there. You have to call , leave a message and she will call you back. She is very caring and professional.

I will never go back to this place and I am telling everyone I know to stay away. The emplyees were all terribly rude (including the owner) and I have never felt so rushed to pick out a polish color.... it was a horrible experience to say the least.... not to mention the worst mani I have ever gotten. Chipped after 2 days....

I have been a client of Anna George Salon for over 2 years and personally think the reviews written by je233 and rlmrlm are in essence, BS. The staff has always been very friendly & profesional. I love my stylist (Lili) and have received nothing but the best service by their manicurists. Anna has been a successful business woman in the Chicago area for many years. I serious doubt she would be able to have this success if she employed rude and obnoxious people on her staff. Did either of these two bother to call Anna and tell her what happened? Did they get this persons name? Did this really happen? Or, for whatever reason, they decided to trash the salon all over the web because they can remain anonymous? It?s a great salon and if you thought about going, go. Decide for yourself. And by the way, it can get busy on Saturdays so make sure you have an appointment. I know, I?ve been there.

I agree with julieannmac - People are always selling coupons and passing out pamphlets downtown. I've never had a bad experience with Anna George. I have-however- heard of rival sales teams encouraging the employees to create bad reviews by word of mouth and suprisingly now thru the internet blogs and review sights. I can only go by my experience, and it was very very good. by the way - i bought my coupon downtown and saved alot on the cost of prime services. They did not treat me any different than a full paying customer. That is why I continue to go back.
