If you are taking your animals anywhere else you are not
If you are taking your animals anywhere else you are not providing them with the best care they can get. Having done rescue for over 15 years, I know when I see a good vet. The staff at AMC makes every vet I ever thought of as great look mediocre. Never have I seen such professionalism, concern and compassion towards animals. Although I live in Moncks Corner, I willingly drive the extra miles to take my 8 animals there. Last year, within a month I had to make the horrificly painful decision to euthanize two of my dogs. One whose time had come, one in an emergency situation causing severe emotional grief. Dr. Gerbec was extremely considerate and caring; the staff went beyond the call of their responsibilities to ease our emotional suffering. We were allowed all the time we needed to be with both of them when their time came, both before and after. It made all the difference in the world to my family. There is never any trepidation when my dogs are brought in as is normal with most animal clinics. The energy and atmosphere is always positive and light (and often humorous), no matter how busy they seem to be. While it is expected that the staff takes care of the animal (that is the job of course), the staff at AMC also makes certain to address your concerns and considerations respecting you as the owner, educating and thoroughly discussing all options available. I am not surprised, this is to me, a defining statement of an animal care professional; consistent, compassionate, dedicated to make certain your animal gets the best care they can get.
