Now this is the type of vet that you bring your animal to for check ups, or if they so happen to be sick. But when it comes to getting animals fixed and through surgery, i don't recommend it. They are just not good with small incisions and they use wire stitches which get caught in carpets and just look terrible. I love Dr. Hill, but i can't say he will ever operate on one of my little babies.

I have been very satisfied with the care and attention him and his staff have givin me and my pets. He really does know what he is talking about and gives fantastic care. Answers all my questions and i leave their feeling a sence of accomplishment rather than a sense of getting robbed.‎

I love my puppy dogs and have had many that Dr. Hill has cared for. I am amazed at how Dr. HIll is well read on all the new treatments etc. Just last Feb. I had a pet with auto immune attack and very close to death. Dr. Hill brought Bailey back and the daily checks to monitor the progress meant so much.. I've had my share of the back room putting my pets to sleep for old age or health issues and Dr. Hill and his staff are so comforting and caring as if it was their loss, too. Fees charged are super reasonable. The wait is well worth the care one receives there. No rushing you through he makes sure he satisfies every issue and question. Mrs. Hill has been nice to me and I have been there a lot with four dogs and maintenance. Don't let the first impression .let you make such a comment about Mrs. HIll.. You sit there an hour or more and if paying attention you will see Mrs. Hill greeting the dog by name or cat and taking care of the needs.‎

Dr. Hill is a wonderful vet who loves the animals he sees. My dog looks forward to going to see him. She gets happy and excited every time we go there. He is so gentle with her that she doesn't seem to mind anything he needs to do to her. I've been going to Animal Hospital for over 12 years and have gone to several others in the Hickory area prior. I like him much better and so does my dog. He is obviously a vet because he loves animals more than money; that was not the case with the other vets. I will admit, his wife is a little overbearing, but not totally intolerable when you weigh the good with the bad. The rest of the staff is also kind and helpful. I would recommend the Animal Hospital to anyone. I would just caution that you may have a wait (or not) because it's first-come, first-serve.‎

I have to agree, Dr. Hill is a very nice person and is very compassionate, however his wife is not a very nice person. I found her to be quite rude. Lynn is very nice and is always patient. I am sorry that I can not say that for the rest of the staff.‎
