I met Hollis when I moved to LA in 2000. She was one of the first stops I made when I moved into the neighborhood when I found myself needing dog food and other doggie supplies for my little pup. I was completely lost and needed a little direction. Hollis stocked me up with food, treats, a vet and groomer reference ( still use today ) and she is now a lifelong friend. I stop in here 3x a week even if its just to say hi. You can't beat this place. Stop in and say hi to Hollis and Kevin and grab yourself a tootsie roll or hershey on your way out! I HEART ANIMAL CRACKERS!

I've used Animal Crackers for about 12 years. It's everything that's great about a neighborhood store. They have everything you need and Hollis, the owner, is very friendly and informed. Plus my wife can get her chocolate fix which is always good... And if you've never had a "Jackie fix" you need to visit Animal Crackers and make it your pet supply shop. You'll never go anywhere else!

i completely agree with the previous writer. i send all my friends to Animal Crackers. it has the personal service that is missing at so many other places and Hollis is one of the nicest people around. my vet even commented on how well informed they were when i confirmed something Hollis told me. help keep small businesses open . it's worth it.

I stopped going to Petco for dog food after I found Animal Crackers. Hollis, the owner, is there all the time and has actually gotten to know my dog personally. I walk in and she knows us both by name. So to begin with, it's a good experience from that perspective. But the QUALITY of the food and treats is what I especially love. It's noticably fresher when I open the bag-- and my dog's coat has gotten more healthy looking and his skin isn't flaky anymore. I go here because they really know what they're talking about, and when I go there I deal with an articulate, adult professional, not some kid from those retail chains that don't have a clue.
