I just found this page and wanted to put in my two cents on Dr. Laurie and her clinic. She is a wonderful human being and has a huge heart. Yes, her office may be small, but that is not why I go there. And by the way, I have been going to her for a couple years now with my animals and I have NEVER had anybody's kids running around so that comment on here is odd to me. Anyway, we lost our beloved dog last year and Dr. Laurie was the most patient, kind, and understanding doctor I ever could have asked for. She knew how much we loved our dog, and knew it was an enormous financial burden to care for her when she fell ill and gave us options and was very concious to not do anything that was not necessary or cost effective for our dog. When the time came for her to pass, I called Dr. Laurie in hysterics from home and she dropped everything and came to our home to help us and comfort us on the most difficult day of our lives and for that I am forever grateful. We now have two new dogs and a cat and I will not take them anywhere else as I know that every member of her staff is going treat my animals as if they were their own. Thanks Dr. Laurie!

When I read the other reviewers comments...I just HAD to comment. I LOVE this vet! Dr. Laurie is one special human who shows her care and concern for the pets that come in as well as their owners. I highly recommend Dr. Laurie to anyone who is looking for a vet for their special family member. She has been in practice for many years and bought this hospital from the previous vet. If you are looking for an old fashioned 'country doc' this is your vet. If you are looking for someone is up on current medical practices, this is your vet. If you are looking for a doctor with a heart (not looking to pad their pocket book) for your little critter...Dr. Laurie is the one to go to!

My family is relatively new to town and we took our pets to this clinic for routine care. I am sad to say that we will not be going back to this clinic due to the inhospitable nature of the front office staff and due to the doctor making last minute cancellations as well as the doctors attitude when we peacefully raised our concerns with her office staff. As an aside, there is a great VCA clinic right down the street.

Dr. Laurie and her staff goes above and beyond when your pet has a health issue. They tried everything for our little dog when she developed cancer--after hours, phone consultations, etc--we felt the vet really cared about helping her get better. Later, when there was nothing else that could be done, they did their best to make it painless for her and comforted us, as well. It's an ordeal to lose a pet, but we truly felt she was in good, caring hands when we had to leave her there.

This vet is smart, takes time with you and your pet, and offers different options for care. She has good clinical sense, and doesn't automatically opt for a huge, expensive array of tests. You leave with the feeling that your pet is getting good, sensible care. Her staff is friendly and obviously there because they love animals--not much turnover, a good crew. Yes, this clinic is often busy--there is a good reason for that!

I am new to town and tried this clinic out for regular care and was a little disappointed by the staff and even the vet's kid's running around the very tiny hospital. I understand the owner has only been a vet for a few years now, but really, is it safe for children to be running around? This leads me to question how are the animals handled? The clinic was relatively clean, the staff was decent but nothing attracted me to stay a client at this hospital.
