The Amvets Thrift Store has been a favorite of mine for the past several years; you will find great prices and daily instore special prices on different items.

General Merchandise includes: A wide selection of clothing for all genders and ages, household nick-knacks, toys, a wide selection of books and records, CD's & tapes including some computer softwares, an electronics area that often has older but usable computers, monitors, keyboards, car stereos, lamps, etc.

I once purchased a Macintosh 8600 PowerPC computer for $15.00 which included a processor update card which had a used retail value of $100.00. I later saw the same computer with out the processor update card at the Goodwill Computer store in Santa Ana being sold for $120.00.

If you know what your looking for and what the value of the item is, you can often find some really great deals here.

Some of the used items are not as nice as you might find at some of the Salvation Army stores (who sell their used items at close to retail prices), but you should check them out any way.

CONS: Some of the items are lower quality

This place has a lot of good things for great prices. It is kind of hard to find something if you are looking for it in particular, but if you are going to browse and have time to kill this is the place for you!

This place is really fun to shop at you feel like you are shopping at the mall. The clothes, toys, shoes are in good condition. You can find everything there at low prices!

This is a great thrift store with tons of options. Just about anything you could want is there for you. I put together an outfit including (shoes, purse, guess jeans and a top) for under $40! The staff is very friendly also. You do have to search through a lot of items, but it is worth it when you leave with amazing things! The location is not the greatest, but once inside you appreciate all the variety.
