Not only Books, Literary Arts too! by David G. at InsiderPages
As an avid reader and General Bibliophile (that's a rank, not an adjective!), I must attest to the surprisingly superb nature of this small, overwhelmingly tasteful bookstore.
I can locate a rare find in any bookstore, it's an ability not all have. With Amicus Books, it's not a skill that needs any development, there is no shortage of rare, extremely interesting books to find on nearly any subject. If they don't have the NY-Times #1 seller, they're sure to have 10 books that would be deeper, more intelligent and more fulfilling. Life doesn't offer much time to waste, so you don't really need to read the new Clancy novel, do you?
And the best part is, the cold feel and annoyance of pop-up advertisements of on-line booksellers is far from the warmth and staggeringly intellectual conversation to be found in speaking with Owners and Operators James and Kara Davis.
Beyond being the best bookstore in the area (by FAR! - B Dalton is not a bookstore, it's more of a textual brothel!), Amicus is involved in many community projects designed at strengthening and promoting Literary Arts in an area that at once seemed nearly devoid of artistry and creativity.
Stop by for a great book, an interesting conversation, or an introduction in releasing the Literary Artist within you!
