Ruined my new ball
My first visit to this facility to practice with a new ball. On my fourth frame I noticed a large, deep scratch in the ball that was just drilled that same day. The equipment, decor and staff at this facility are insufficient, in addition to the prices being outrageous, especially considering the condition of the facility.

Typical AMF over pricing! by Danny P. at InsiderPages
Unless your either rich or just don't like saving money, Starlite lanes is not for you. I will say however they do have nice synthetic lanes. The ball returns and scoring machines are a little out dated. At 4.50 a game they can keep it. I do use Starlite on certian days. Sundays from 9am to 12am it is .99 bowling with no cover charge. Wed. has 1.00 bowling with a 5 dollar cover charge. The Wed bowling sucks for the most part because all the stupid Reno kids get drunk and act like morons. They have no respect for the game and need to take their stupidity elseware. I would imagine that league play is good in this house. Well thats about it for AMF Starlite. Unless it's Sunday, I won't go.

Getting Better
I think they have much better people with the new mgmt but at 4.50 a game thats way over priced for our market. If they would just come down to earth the place would be packed with business but unfortunetly they are controlled by bug business AMF who thinks they can just slap a price tag on the game and people will come running because its AMF. Not gonna happen.

Bowl! by Vik Z. at InsiderPages
I got the feeling that this is more of a local bowling area even though it IS in Reno. But I guess vacationers (like me) go there end up there from time to time. When I was there there was A LOT of kids there. I think it is because there is nothing else to do with you kids in the Reno area, Reno is really about adults and casinos. So I dont know if it was like that (lots of kids) just the night that I was there or its like that all the time. They had regular bowling food at pretty much normal prices (meaning overpriced:)) The staff was friendly and didnt seem very rushed which was nice.
