Interesting to read other reviews. I had a vinyl deck installed by AVW in 2001 (would NEVER recommend one ). I was told that it would never need maintenance (a lie) and that the job would be done quickly. Crew never started before 10 or 11am--always in meetings. Although I asked that no one smoke, cigarette butts were always found in driveway. The job took over 2 months longer than expected (plus many phone calls)because they started late, left early and abandoned my project for larger ones. At one point they "accidently" charged my credit card $12,000 twice and it was a mess getting it credited back. They had agreed to move crawl space and I had to withhold payment for several weeks and call several times to get them to honor committment (they left a hole in my house instead of creating a finished space. The whole experience was a nightmare and I have told everyone looking for decks and windows to NOT choose AVW.

I made the same mistake except mine was related to kitchens. The salesman made his appointment and made sure my husband was there so he could sign the contract. American Vision Windows gave us an incredible price, but it was too good to be true. They revoked their offer and refunded our deposit. I went by there a year later to ask about some cabinet doors that I needed modified. I told the salesman I met about my previous experience. I told him that we might be interested in doing business but someone would need to call and discuss the prior situation. They assured me someone would call. No one ever did.

I made the mistake of selecting American Vision Windows to rework some doors and windows in my home. My biggest mistake is that I didn't do enough research on customer satisfaction, nor did I get any referrals. Hopefully this review will save you from making the same mistake. All I can say is that they will do and say anything so that you sign their contract. Once they do get you to sign however they disappear and getting them to do what they agreed to is like pulling teeth. In my case I worked with Brad Hopper. He promised the world and delivered very little. I've since heard that most of the guys at this company operate the same way. The irony is that they portray this company as a family business when all you get once you sign a contract is a bunch of bureaucracy. In the end, I did not get what I asked for, the quality of the product wasn't as good as they advertised, and my overall experience was very disappointing. They simply did not deliver what they said they would.

I've worked w/many people over the years, me being in sales for over 10yrs. A sales person wants your business, I've never experience the arrogance and know it all of the sales person that called me. I will never never never order windows or any products from them. I needed a quote for 25+ windows. The person made it seemed like he had not time and was annoyed that I was going to get other quotes before I finalized my decision. I could go on w/the conversation, but know this his phone manners and arrogance was so bad, that I told him never to come or call my home again.‎
