Hmm that's funny.....
I don't know about these reviews. Especially the one about the mullet incident. That is funny, but, I know that's not true. The guys that work there have always been helpful, and they do their best to get the gear I need. The prices have always been great even to the competition (which isn't much) in this town. If there is a problem, they've taken care of it. Even my repairs have been on time and my guitars have played that much better when returned to me. I checked my receipt to find out this store been open for almost 30 years..... now how many other shops have? All I know is that's enough to keep me coming back. They are doing something right.

Great Stuff by Bob B. at InsiderPages
I enjoy shopping at American Music every chance I get. I have bought some really great guitars, amps and accessories from Tim and Dan and Mike. I have always been treated with respect and have never been treated rudely. I don't know what some of the other people are talking about. This is a retail music store for Musicians as well as students learning music. Their repair service is top shelf. I just bought a really great microphone from them for use in my home studio.

Another Fresno Nepotism store.
I am suprised that they're still in business. Just order on line. I had enough bad experience with tis store. It's not as bad as Charlie Daniels idiot music store. As stated, they lose orders, they don't let any one try the gear out. The only great thing is Mike the guitar teacher.....a world class guitarist. The owner is racist and rude. They over charge on cheap gear. And their repair center has fluctuted from okay to bad.

Mullet attack!
The service here is just outlandish! First I walk in casually expecting to buy a guitar for rockin in my local cover band. As soon as I get to the entrance, before i even made it in the store - some dude smears a bunch of peanut butter on me and a bucket of confetti falls on my head! I didnt walk into party works ok. Hows that for customer service? As I stand there wondering what the heck just happened, some dude with a grey mullet starts telling me that samick is the the way to go and blows a kazoo loudly in my face. Now here I am with PB and confetti all over my Warrant t-shirt and this guy says hope you have a Warrant-tee for that! Now this was not funny in any way whatsoever. This was the worst experience ive had in awhile and I refuse to shop here again.

In the time I have shopped at American Music I have been treated with nothing but kindness. I take weekly lessons with Mike for $15 a week. That is far from a ripoff. Students with Mike get a discount on everything in the store. If you are looking for a friendly sales person see Dan. He will help you find what you need
