Don't waste your time
I called them, they came out found one leak and didn't bother to check anything else. They told me they don't do repairs under concrete and told me I had to call another company. I did and when they came out they checked my entire pool and found more then one leak! THIS COMPANY DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!! I am very unsatisfied with them and will never ever call them again.

WILL NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN‎
I called them and told them I had a leak in my pool. Even though I thought their price wasn't as great as with other companies I called, I wanted to see how they found the leak. They told me once they find the leak they use a computer to see if the amount of water my pool is losing is enough to substantiate the leak they found. But, when I asked them if they would continue to check everything else in the pool, they told me no unless I wanted to pay them more money. So I asked what happens if the pool still loses water........I was told I'd have to pay them again to come out. That doesn't make sense to me. Why would I pay somebody to do half a job? I'm taking my business elsewhere‎

Too little effort to confirm all pool...‎
Last spring American Leak Detection came out to find a leak in my 3 year old fiberglass pool. The tech leaned over the edge and used a syringe with dye to locate inward flow on one of the jets into the pool (the pump was off) and said that was where it was leaking. None of the high tech stuff on the website was used. He said they could fix it for $800 or I could plug the jets on that segment of pipe and turn off the value to it at the pump. I chose to do the latter thinking some day I would dig up the problem pipe and fix it myself. Soon it seemed the water was still dropping a bit each day. Unfortunately, I got busy with a kitchen remodel and vacation and did not pay it much attention. Now it is dropping 1 inch or more a day. I cannot swear that something new did not break, but I just do not feel the tech was thorough. He did not seem to want to do more than the minimum to find a leak and not all leaks. Since I have talked to people who said other companies they had worked with dove ...

after paying $600.00 for american leak detection to come out, they put this machine at the water level and said that my pool is not leaking. I know my pool and it's leaking. they said to me to refer to their web site and contract and that 1/2" of water per day is acceptable. on any normal week my pool would only leak about 1".I called another company, they came out and found a leak in the light. they both found the leak and repaired it for less than i paid american leak. I feel they should give me my money back. If they don't, i will call my lawyer‎

Interesting Review‎
I too contacted them and they told me that they couldnt make it out for several weeks. Im sorry, but the last time I checked, water leak issues need to be addressed immediately. If you dont have the resources to fulfill the demand, then someone at the top is getting paid too much and doing too little. The bigger they are the dummer they are. Dinosaurs were big, look at where that got them.‎
