BEWARE OF THIS GUY,He did alot of work for us since 1996 on and off.This last March he came over and did 2 windows for us (Plantion Shutters), after the installation we hired him for another window on our Master bedroom.He took our deposit, cashed it at a local Deli/supermarket and went MIA and will not answer his phone or call back, however the SOB will call you for new buisness.We live in Palm Beach County and since he lives in Ft.Lauderdale we can't charge him locally for theft.A police report was done on him and the local PD will be notified as well.After 3 months waiting on this AS...LE we hired another company to the job.Again STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!!!!!!

Kenneth Cloutier from American Discount Window treatments ripped me off for $400.00 Took my check and vanished into thin air. This was in August '08, and I have never heard from him. L Hall

My experience with American Discount Blinds has been so terrible that I want to warn others--BEWARE AND BETTER YET, GO ELSEWHERE!!..

I contracted with this company to install a full house (every window and every door) of plantation shutters. The company was evidently inexperienced in installing shutters without telling me in advance. The end result was a sliding door that is in operable and requires replacement; another slider that was incorrectly measured resulting in a large (light) gap at the top frame which he unsatisfactorily attempted to hide. An entry foyer window was mismeasured and never installed, presumably to be re-ordered. Cracked mouldings and some cracked shutter slats resulted from the installation job. End result: the merchant (business owner) returned and "created" a story to get additional money from us to replace the inoperable slider that he installed with a more expensive and better quality door. We, the customers paid this money, thinking that it would solve the problem.. He also promised to fix his installation mistakes, install the new door and missing window and additional moulding.

ALL CALLS TO THE MERCHANT HAVE GONE UNANSWERED. EVIDENTLY, HE IS DROPPING THE UNFINISHED JOB. THE ACCOUNT IS CURRENTLY IN THE HANDS OF THE CREDIT CARD COMPANY FOR REIMBURSEMENT.

HE LEFT AN UNFINISHED JOB FOR APPARENTLY NO REASON. WE ARE TOTALLY DISSATISFIED WITH HIS WORK AND HIS FAILURE TO DO AS PROMISED WE NOW HAVE TO CONTRACT WITH ANOTHER MERCHANT TO COMPLETE THE JOB.
