This school is the absolute worst and it sad because i am still attending. like exiest said they are all about the MONEY! when you first join they are the sweetest people and after the first two weeks they could careless about you. WHY? THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR MONEY! I wouldn't recommend this school to my worst enemy. The teacher's are very unprofessional and does absolutey nothing to help you. If you ask questions, its like your being a bother. The director watches you thru the cameras she has placed in every corner. You only get a lunch break for 30 mins, which means by the time you go out to get your lunch its already time to report back to class. The staff discuss mistakes of students with other students. These are the most negative individuals I have ever came across. I feel like its a set up for failure. Students have to learn from other students because they are too afraid to ask teachers. They have no consideration for working people. If you are interested in going to this school, before you sign a contract do a walk thru and speak with the students and observe the rude and obnoxious teachers and use your own judgement. Don't let that fake smile get the best of you. I guarantee you will be upset. whoever left positive reviews must be a family member or have gotten paid. oh and another thing make sure you go to school everyday because in the end if you owe hours you have to pay $10 and hour from your own pockets or she will not sign for you to take the stateboard.

Without a doubt, American Beauty School made me better. The staff was very friendly and location was easy. The teachers were understanding and truly made me be a top person in my career. Upon graduation, I was able to easily secure a job and have become very successful since. I would immediately recommend American Beauty School.

Well, this place made me. The curriculum is well put together, the teachers and staff are amazing, and most importantly I came out ready for the business. I graduated a couple years ago and consider myself lucky to have learned as much as I did to help me get ahead. Never have I experience such a unprofessional and bitter environment like I have experienced in American Beauty School! For those who are highly interested in persuing Cosmetology as a career it is imperative that you take into consideration the reviews for ABS. First, you want to invest your money wisely! There are other beauty schools in N.Y. that superceeds ABS and have a high standard of proficiency and excellence in the skills and professionalism of top cosmetology schools. At ABS, the Director and the Administration staff WORK HARD TO GET YOUR MONEY while LACKING in preparing the students with the necessary tools, a well developed and planned curriculum and a great learning atmosphere. You will clearly see that ABS is centered around the students MONEY and not the student! The students DON"T have a voice, an opinion, an idea! Your rights will be automatically shut down the moment you begin the program. As the Director would say, "Life isn't fair". Now how is that for a Director that doesn't care for the students and their education! For the past years I have learned to deal with highly professional individuals from the pleasant to the most irate and the Director and staff overexceed unprofessionalism! The only thing that I take from ABS are my completed 1000 hours and a few good friends! In conclusion, I don't recommend this school to even my worst enemy!
