I am an original customer. The place was not even finished when I got my first unit from them. The customer service has always been excellent. They have always been there to help. I have never met a better bunch of people. The place is always clean. I have always been impressed with how well the facility is kept up. I have always felt that my belongings have been safe. In the time I have been there they have only raised the rent once and the increase was reasonable. Hope I haven't cursed myself for mentioning that. Check them out if you need a storage place.

Alum Rock Self Storage is the best place I have ever used for storage, from the friendly staff, clean facility to their free drinks they offer you. In addition, they have truck rental and RV rental and also all the stuff you need to store your stuff. They also have one of the safest places to store your stuff. I would like to first express my concern to the people who have written negative reviews to please contact us. I assure you we do have every unit alarmed with a high tech security system. We have cameras and gated fences. We also have never expressed such rude behavior with any customer no matter who the individule is. We strive to serve everyone who comes in our office. We have been here for 7 yrs and yes we cannot please everyone, however please understand our intention is to offer very high standards in customer service. We have been completely full for past month and remain at a high occupance rate. We are located right off i680, between Capitol Ave. and Jackson Ave. Located are other storage facilities which are very close by. Maybe we have been mistaken due to us not having any break in's for quiet a while. We have not had a break in since 2006 and rest assure they were caught and prosecuted. these people made fun of me for being mentally challenged and they would always laugh at me cause i asked stupid questions that i thought weren't stupid

I was a loyal customer for 2 years at Alum Rock Sotrage, and my unit was broken into. I have suspected the management there to have broken into my unit, because when I approached them about the issue, they told me to forget it about it, and if it were reported to the police they could no longer keep me as a customer. Many times I have walked in there, and the management crew would be yelling at customers on the phone, and at customers at the counter. The parking was impossible due to truck and RV rentals. The worst thing that happened at my time during there, would be the fact that they increased my rent without any notice! Not only that, they did this about three times throughout the two years. I would just like to close with that ALum Rock Storage was the worst experience as a customer I have ever had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORAGE FACILITY TO ANYONE!!! Also, the speculated owner Steve is very rude and he never wants to help out any customer at any time.
