Not pleased with Alpine Valley. The attendants at the lifts are rude and on the cell phone. They will not even slow the lifts for children. The classes are not very good either. The lifts do not even have safety bars. Very poor resort. ...

Downsides: Small, small hills.But i'd suggest trying another ski resort in the area like Snow Trails or Boston Mills and Brandywine.Advanced skiiers and riders will be turned off by the size.

Upsides: Family friendly, great place to learn, good rental equipment, nice location, not intimidating(again, good for beginners). Good grooming and snow care(for Ohio).
