Unfair business practice‎
I went to Alpine Metals to have a snowplow mounted to my truck. They quoted me three hours of work at $90 per hour. I dropped my truck off in the morning and came to pick it up at the end of the day only to find out they had done nothing. I talked to the owner and he said he was sorry and he would have it done first thing in the morning. I called at 4:30 the next day only to find out they might not have it done. I finally go into their office and find out I owe them over $650.00! No call to say it was going to be more than what they originally told me. I talked to the owner, who was quite rude, and he took $100.00 off. They didn't take credit cards so I drove home to get a check. I paid them what they wanted but I got up the next day to find out bolts where missing on the plow and just a crappy installation. I did a stop payment on the check and sent them a letter, photos of the crappy/unsafe work and a new check for four hours worth of work, trying to be fair. They still have not ...
