Nickel and Dime you to Death! by S A. at InsiderPages
This place is a racket - you come in for one thing and they charge for for 10 other things. I had to leave my cat the night because I work in the evenings and what started as a ridiculous $21.00 charge just to be there for the afternoon (if I could have come back to pick him up) ballooned to $60.00 because they added a unnecessary 'exam' fee for in the morning (28.00) and overnight stay (28.00). And $120.00 dollars for a 'just to check things out' blood work-up? I would cost less for me to have mine done at Kaiser. This place charges you for every little thing -- another line item was 50.00 - 100.00 charge for misc food, medicine (not specified) and a E-Collar - so I spend $400.00 bucks and they cant give my cat a little food and water or even stay the night? what a scam - I'm never going back here.

Life Threatening Wrong Diagnosis by Lidia E. at InsiderPages
Be very cautious, please your pet is your baby
We had a kitty, that recently passed away afflicted with cancer, and we are now left with our doggy, who has been our companion for many years. Not to long ago he started coughing and we did not know what to do. At first, we thought that he had something cough in his throat. He would eat and drink and yet he would cough. A couple of days of the coughing we brought him over to All Pets Hospital. They practically kicked us out telling us that he had Kennel Cough. They gave us a prescription and practically told us to get out and not come back until he was better. Well, a couple of weeks after the medication our dog is still coughing. Not knowing what to do, we brought him again. Well the staff was rude and unkind-they told us that they would give him a slight sedative to ease him because he was tense. We said, please do not sedate him, because he is an old dog and the last time he was sedated, we almost lost him. We worry, terrible every time a vet tells us that he must be sedated. Fifteen minutes later, I received the dreadful call-he was not reacting from the anesthesia. I brought him at 11am and I ended up taken my frail half sedated dog home at 3:30pm. They gave him so much anesthesia that they almost killed him. I am taking him home and never coming back. It just so happens that he never had kennel cough but bronchitis. We haev been treating our dog with medications for the wrong diagnosis. Please do not bring your pets here. This place needs an attitude adjustment, they are supposed to be taking care of our treasures, but treat most clients with disdain.

Dr. Herman is great
This place is great. I took my previous dog and now current dog to All Pets. I have throughout my time there seen two of the doctors, but I recommend Dr. Herman. She is great with animals (She is often sitting on the floor with my dog) and really cares. Also I never feel as if I am being taken for extra medical expenses when I am there. I moved out of the city for 3 years and used 2 different vets, neither that I was happy with. I kept comparing them to Dr. Herman. I always felt like these other vets always wanted to add on more tests or X rays, for issues that never ended up being anything. I felt that these vets"guilted " me into more expensive procedures. "The reason your dog is throwing up might be.... and then she will DIE". I have never left All Pets unhappy with my service. Also they work with small and exotic pets, not just cats and dogs.

I have used Dr Herman and Hershberger and they are very attentive, knowledgeable and really care about your pet. They have an online phramacy and all the doctor's bios at aphsf.com

Find another office. Allpets is spotty.
I've had several mediocre to poor experiences here and finally decided to trust our instincts and find another vet. Some of the vets and staff are fine but others are condescending and defensive. They've had trouble explaining when to administer medicince, preventing a kitten from tearing out stitches after being spayed, and collecting a urine sample after four attempts and multiple administations of subcutaneous fluids.
