I have been a client for over 20 years, bringing my cats here even before Dr. Downes took over the practice. I think very highly of him and his entire staff! Dr. Downes knows his stuff, is good with animals, and considerate with people too. He is also not hesitant to consult with other veterinary professionals and consider different treatment options. One of my cats, now 16 years old, is an 8-year cancer survivor thanks to the treatment she received at All Creatures. Another survived a life-threatening bout with pancreatitis. Of course pets don't live forever, and I've lost a number of them over the years, so that's when you are grateful that your veterinarian and his staff are not only highly competent but also compassionate.

I have been going to All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in Dublin for over 20 years. Dr. Downes is an excellent diagnostician who is very thorough, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I have spent the last ten years learning about dog health, and have always found Dr. Downes to be informed about every situation I have encountered. I participate actively in decisions about their care, which he welcomes, but when my dogs are sick and I'm not sure what to do, I trust his decisions, and he has never let me down. I have referred friends to this clinic when their own vets couldn't help their animals, and Dr. Downes has been able to help them. All of the vet techs are also well trained, knowledgeable and excellent with the animals (two are involved with cat rescue).I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a vet they can trust.

I drive 45 minutes to bring my dog to Dr. Downes. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. He makes sure that I understand everything before proceeding, and I always trust that he isn't doing anything unnecessary - he truly cares about the well-being of my dog. I found that out when I called him about 9:00 one night because my dog was having an allergic reaction. I would take my cats too, but they don't like car rides :) The staff is wonderful too.
